Do we need to have prior meditation experience before joining one of the sessions?

You can be a beginner to join our session. You just need to have the willingness to start with meditation. 

How often should we practice meditation?

It is advised to practice meditation every day for at least 20 minutes. 

When is the best time to practice meditation?

Any part of the day is a good time. You can practice either early morning after you wake up for a positive start of the day or before going to bed for a good night’s sleep.

What is sound meditation?

There are different ways to meditate and sound meditation is about bringing awareness to the sounds around you. At Lotus, we use the serene sounds of singing bowls and gongs. Our instructor also guides meditation while playing singing bowls.  

Can meditation cure mental health problems like anxiety, depressions, or insomnia?

Mindfulness is the art of living in the moment. When you let off the thoughts that keep you anxious or worried, you feel much better. People having mental health issues have benefitted from practicing meditation daily. However, it is recommended to see a doctor or a counselor should the symptoms get worse. 

Does daily meditation provide any benefits?

Recent research suggests that people who practiced 20 minutes of meditation daily for a period of 2 months had a significant positive impact on their relations at home and work. They showed more resilience to stress, felt happier and less neurotic.

Singing bowls are a type of bell that vibrates and produces a rich, deep tone when played. Singing Bowls helps to clean negative energy and emotions connecting with your higher self.
